We Hope You Enjoyed Visiting Our Site
by Grade 7 English

We worked hard this year. We are in grade seven. We will be in secondary classes next year. Next year we will be writing more English on the internet. This year we went out for a picnic with students from Montreal. They came to our community for a student exchange trip when we enjoyed their company. Our favourite subjects are gym, math, computer, free time and art.

One fun Friday we went sliding with the children from the daycare. Our teacher was very proud of us. We did a good job taking care of the little ones. Another time we went skiing through the village. One sunny day we climbed up the mountain beside our school. We raced to see who could get to the top first. David Sequaluk was first, Joseph Etok was second and Sandy Morgan third. Our teacher was last.

In March we had a visit from Adrienne Clarkson, the Governor General of Canada and Susan Aglukark, a popular native singer of the North and role model for all. We enjoyed their visit.

At the beginning of April our school celebrated Geography week. We presented the country China. We ate rice with chopsticks, tried green tea and learned a lot of information about the country and the people. The most favourite country we visited was Ecuador and Tibet. The countries we visited were Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Korea, Tibet, China, Ecuador. Scotland, Jamaica, France, Alaska, U.S.A., Belgium, Ivory Coast and Costa Rica. We would love to learn more about other countries in the world.
My students worked very well this year and I'm proud of them.
I hope they continue to work well in secondary classes next year.
School is important to all children no matter where they live.
Staying in school will guide you in the right direction.
Learn well and good things will come.
Good luck in all that you do!

Your grade seven teacher,
Anne
