A nassak is a hat we wear in the winter. It is crocheted by hand. They are all different colours. The band across the bottom is decorated with a pattern. Patterns are changing all the time. Some people even make nassaks with pictures on them. For example: igloos, trucks, inuksuks and even names.

This is Vera, one of our teachers. She is making a nassak. She is almost ready to start on the band across the bottom.
Nassaks are crocheted very tightly so the wind does not go through. It looks a little bit like a bowl.
It is finished!
